house hunting

Cameron and I have been house hunting for quite some time now, and we fell IN LOVE with this one place. It was perfect. We were so sad to find out we didn’t get approved to rent there because we aren’t technically married yet… The annoying thing is that I am not even going to be living there until September but because my name will be on the lease in June, we both have to individually make $4000 a month. Which is complete BS if you ask me because no other place has said we need to do that…. But anyways, things are finally starting to look up because we went and saw a few place last night and they were awesome!! I was so happy because I was seriously starting to freak out considering we only have like 18 more days until we need to move in.. I’m just praying everything works out with one of these places because I swear it’s like one thing after the next. I just want to cross “Sign a Lease” off of my list of things to do before the wedding!

But I am crossing two big items off this week. My mom and I are going to get her dress for the wedding either tonight or tomorrow night! Yay I can’t wait to see how beautiful she is going to look! ANDDDD I graduated over the weekend and that was definitely a big aspect to cross off!! I’m graduating college tomorrow….

It still has not hit me that I graduate college tomorrow! Like this is unreal.. I’m freaking out a little bit but then I remind myself I still have two more years of school since I’m getting my master’s degree. But I’m sure that will fly by just as fast! It’s been a crazy four years. Looking back on it, I’ve done so many things and gone to so many places and met so many amazing people. But, I could not have gotten through this past year if it weren’t for my wonderful friends and perfectly imperfect fiance! I am so blessed to have such beautiful and supportive people in my life so a HUGE shout out to you guys (you know who you are <3)

Anyways.. now on to the random stuff. I cut my freaking hair last week and this is a huge deal for me because I have literally never cut my hair besides a trim. I cut three inches off and got layers! You can see my pics on the left. I was so nervous when she started cutting that she actually had to stop and calm me down haha but I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s super healthy now and so easy to do! But enough of that… I made this crazy awesome breakfast the other day and figured I would share with you all since I’m all about the food! Try this one out and like I always say, please share your favorite recipes with me!

I mixed two eggs, a scoop of salsa, some shredded share cheddar cheese, and a few sprinkles of italian seasoning in a bowl and just scrambled it all together on a skillet. Then I just diced up a small avocado and sprinkled that on top. My bread is gluten free (not because I never eat gluten, just because I like the way it tastes and it stays fresh longer than regular bread) which I toasted and then spread a little bit of unsalted butter on top. This probably took me about 5 minutes total to make and it was so freaking good!

The stomach bug blows…

Hi everyone! It’s been forever since I posted last but that because I had a miserable stomach bug last week and was out for 3 days… It was horrible! I couldn’t eat or drink for almost two days and actually ended up in the ER on Wednesday because it was so bad 😦 I know poor me lol… But I finally started feeling back to normal on Sunday but decided to take it easy on Monday so I just got back to the gym today. And boy did it feel amazing! I went an entire week without going, and if you know me, that is way too long to handle… I felt like I was going insane just laying around. It’s weird because when I’m not sick and have so much to do all I want to do is watch netflix but when I am sick and forced to rest I HATE IT! I just get way too bored and antsy, I really don’t understand it lol. But anyways I didn’t eat the healthiest food over the weekend because I had no energy to cook and it was way easier to just eat whatever was around so yesterday I made it a point to refuel my body with great food. I made this super yummy and easy salad for lunch that I posted bellow, and it filled me up for hours! I used quinoa salad (basically just like pasta salad), two large handfuls of mixed greens, and a handful of seedless red grapes. The quinoa salad consisted of cooked quinoa, cherry tomatoes, diced red onions, feta cheese, black olives, and oil and vinegar.. Easy right?? And it was seriously so good and it super healthy. Luckily the dad I nanny for had made it the other day and he told me how to make it! But because I used the quinoa salad I didn’t need any extra dressing, which is awesome for me because I LOVE ranch haha. For a healthy afternoon snack I cut up an apple and dipped it in peanut butter, which is one of my all-time favorite snacks because its so good and healthy. And did you know that apples actually give you more energy than coffee? So if you are ever feeling a little tired and don’t want to have anymore caffeine, or if you just don’t like coffee, apples are a great way to get natural energy! Boring

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t posted in a while and I still haven’t done a hair tutorial… I know I suck.. I have honestly just been so busy with school, finding a new job, the wedding, blah blah… But Cameron is having a wrestling party to celebrate the end of the season this weekend so I promise I’ll have a bunch of fun pictures to post afterwards and hopefully a tutorial! It’s surprisingly just really hard to find time to film because I usually do my hair so quickly or just don’t do anything to it all since it’s naturally straight. Well anyways, sorry again of the boring post and I look forward to posting a super fun one soon!

FINALLY!

Okay so I finally got to see Cameron yesterday!!! Oh my gosh I missed him so much it wasn’t even funny… not to mention I had the worst butterflies while waiting for him at the airport! But at least that’s a good thing considering we have been together for almost six years… I love that I still get a little nervous every time I’m about to see him for the first time in a few days 🙂

I know, I know.. enough of the mushy crap.. haha sorry!

Sooooo, this weekend was awesome, not only did I get to see Cam, but it was one of my roomie’s birthdays! It was supppa fun! We went out downtown on Friday night and went to my new favorite place, called Parlor. If you haven’t been there and you live near Norfolk you have got to go! It’s just this super chill place with live music and dancing and stuff! Anyways.. I want to do a hair tutorial for you guys soon because I’ve had a bunch of people ask me how I did my hair this weekend! I’ve just been crazy busy so I haven’t really had much time to do one, but I promise I will try my best to get it done this week!

random random random

Hello everyone! I know it’s been a while since I have posted anything, so today’s post is going to be a little random 🙂 Welp it’s spring break and everyone is off doing fun things and laying out on a beach and drinking fun drinks while I’m at home working and doing nothing…. But all I keep telling myself is that in a few shorts months I’ll be on my honeymoon in Australia!!! AHHH I can’t freaking wait, it’s just going to be so amazing! Cameron is planning our honeymoon and surprising me but all I know is we are going to AUS so I’m super stoked to see what he has in store for us. I’m just so ready to be some place new and warm OMG I hate the cold weather so much! But at least it has been getting nicer outside; I’ve been able to take Jasper on walks like everyday WOOP WOOP! My crazy dog has been loving it too considering his walks last like 2 seconds in the winter time haha.. Because of spring break I obvi don’t have classes so I haven’t been getting up early for the gym and just going after work and I hate it! But not going to lie, it has been super nice sleeping in a little this week! I just really don’t like having to go to the gym at like 5:30 and then not even cooking dinner until like 6:45/7… I’m just not used to eating dinner that late and I def don’t sleep as well when I workout later. I have been super sore though which I love! But anyways, I hope you all have a great rest of your week and an awesome weekend!
